A good process.
A better beginning.
A focused build, with time for the details. Allow 10–15 business days from complete assets and Shopify access for a Standard store. We agree your start and launch dates together.
-
Talk it through.
We look at your store, products, priorities and deadline. You get a clear answer on whether the £5,000 build fits or whether your project needs a custom quote.
-
Put the plan in writing.
Scope, price, responsibilities and timing are agreed before work starts. Your brand assets, product information and Shopify access are ready before the build begins.
-
Build with intention.
Your theme, templates, catalogue, pages and checkout come together around your brand. We agree when you will see the work and what you will be reviewing.
-
Review it together.
You review the store and gather your feedback into one list. One consolidated revision round is included, so we can work through the details efficiently.
-
Check. Launch. Hand over.
Mobile and desktop checks, checkout checks and any agreed cutover work. Then a Loom walkthrough and an admin checklist to help you run the store.
A little preparation.
A smoother build.
These are the things we get ready together. The build timeline starts when the checklist is complete.
- Shopify accessA collaborator or staff account on your store, and the Shopify plan you want to run.
- Brand graphics and logosLogo files, colours and fonts. You provide the brand assets; we apply them.
- Product CSVFor new imports, a clean CSV of up to 100 products, or use a template I provide. Existing Shopify products stay in place on rebuilds; additional imports and catalogue cleanup are scoped separately.
- Theme licenceIf we use a paid Theme Store theme, you buy it so the licence is yours.
- Policy detailsYour shipping rates, returns rules and business details for the essential pages.
Good to know.
One revision round is included. Extra rounds, new features and post-handover work are agreed and priced before they begin.
How long does a Shopify build take?
A Standard setup takes 10–15 business days from the day we have your assets and Shopify access. Custom work and migrations are quoted after a scope call or a short discovery, and the estimate is written down before anything is booked.
What should a Shopify build brief include?
A good brief says what is in, what is out, what it costs and when it is done. Ours is the written scope: the Standard inclusions and exclusions, any add-ons, the timeline from access and the one batched revision round. If it is not in the scope, it is a chat and a change order.
Should I set up Shopify myself or hire someone?
Do it yourself if the catalogue is small, you have time to learn the admin and there is no old site to move. Hire when the catalogue is bigger, you are moving platforms, you need preorders, or the launch date is fixed and nobody has time to test checkout properly.
Will moving to Shopify hurt my Google rankings?
A planned migration reduces risk, but rankings can still change. I review important existing URLs, agree a redirect plan, submit the new sitemap and check for broken links after launch. Redirect work is included in your migration quote.
How do revisions work?
One batched round is included. You collect feedback into one list and we action it in one pass. That keeps the build on the timeline and stops a project stretching out over weeks of small messages. Extra rounds are £500 each.
Should I hire a Shopify Partner or a general web designer?
Hire on shipped Shopify stores and a written scope. A Shopify Partner can use Shopify’s partner tools and development stores. Treat that as a signal, not a guarantee. Ask what is excluded and get the price in writing.
