"Shopify Expert" still shows up in search. The Experts marketplace closed in December 2023. What you can hire today is a Shopify Partner. That is programme membership, not a quality score, not Shopify staff, and not a promise that every Partner works the same way.
What Partner gets you
Partners get partner tools and development stores. Useful for the build. It does not replace live references, a fixed package with caps, or a written change-order rule when work goes past those caps.

Why the old label hangs around
Buyers still type the Expert phrase. Older agencies keep ranking on old URLs. That does not restore the badge. Fyntri does not claim it. You can read about my background and approach on About.
Shortlist without the old marketplace
Ask for live stores in your kind of catalogue. Ours are on Work: Geek Out and Comic Warehouse among them. Ask what sits inside a fixed price and what is quoted as Custom. Ask how redirects and cutover work if you are changing platforms.
For a light UK setup or rebuild, Standard is £5,000 with an agreed scope. Existing products stay in place on Shopify rebuilds; new imports include up to 100 products. Your brand graphics and agreed sample imagery are included. Past those caps, Custom is quoted in writing for the named scope. Numbers: Services and Pricing. Product we ship: Apps (Theo Analytics).
